Lei Day!

Image from Hawaii Magazine.

Yes, it's May Day, often known as International Workers' Day, but it's also the 85th Lei Day! A day-long festival to celebrate the art of lei-making, Lei Day is filled with fresh flowers, bright colors, community activities, a lei-making contest, and music and dance events all over Hawaii (see the listings in Hawaii Magazine). Just because we're not in Hawaii doesn't mean we can't too celebrate!

Bright colors are a must. The Shira reversible tank dress is our pick - just arrived at Loomstate.org.
Forget the plastic stuff and add a simple real orchid lei, like this one from HawaiiFlowerLei.com.

Now put on the Hawaii radio station and have fun!
