Edible Plant Walk with Able Made

Over the weekend we took Suzanne McKenzie from Able Made and some other inquisitive folks on a Wild Edible Plant Walk, lead by our Sustainability Director!  Did you know Plantain leaves (the weed-like plant that pops up in grassy areas..you don't know it, but you've seen it) can heal wounds, and Japanese Knotweed (a severely invasive bamboo-like plant…eat up!) tastes like juicy, sweet celery! Proceeds from the event went to the Ucal McKenzie Breakaway Foundation youth soccer and health clinic. Pick up a Power in Numbers Tee and sign up to find out about our next class.
